This instrumentation, programmable and of wide versatility, with battery operation, is typically indicated in structural monitoring, with particular reference to the measurement of the evolutionary state of cracks, subsidence, differential displacements, out of plumb, etc.

It is a data collection device, in the basic version with 8 channels, conceived, designed and built with the aim of providing a reliable and economical instrument, with autonomous power supply, easy to use, ideal where there is the need to install a limited number of electrical transducers.

However, the great versatility of this product makes it possible to connect multiple units together to form a multiple network that allows to house dozens of sensors or the expansion of a single unit through multiplexer modules.

The system can be managed locally (USB / RS485) or even remotely via telephone connection (GSM), via the internet (xDSL, gprs / umts) or wi-fi / radio modules (optional). The control unit can be connected to the network via an RS485 serial bus allowing the interconnection of up to 255 control units on stretches up to 2 km long, furthermore the control unit is able to manage external multiplexers allowing the expandability, at low cost, of the number of channels. The capacity of the internal memory amounts to 1,200,000 readings, while the interval between acquisitions can be set by the user from 1 to 5999 min (100 h) for the single channel. The autonomy of the system with standard batteries is 4/6 months in mild climatic conditions. Power is powered by easily replaceable lithium batteries (non-rechargeable) or by external power supply (12 Volt nominal).

The SMS alarm management menu allows the sending of text messages in the event of thresholds (including diagnostic channels) up to five numbers. Local diagnostics allow monitoring of internal temperature and battery voltage.

The supplied software (SGA) allows the programming of the unit and the transfer of data for subsequent processing, display and direct storage with the aid of a PC or notebook (not included in the supply).

The firmware can be updated on board through the serial line connected to the PC.
